The Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development was adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015. It provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, both now and in the future. At its core are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These SDGs urge all countries - both developed and developing - to take urgent action in a global partnership. The goals aim to end poverty and other deprivations while improving health and education, reducing inequality, and promoting economic growth.
